Overview

Alopex Couriers is looking for motivated and reliable Seasonal Casual Couriers to join our fast-paced delivery operations. In this role, you'll help ensure packages are picked up, transported, and delivered safely and on time, while providing excellent service to our customers.

We're looking for someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and ready to step in wherever help is needed. You'll be expected to handle packages carefully, plan efficient routes, and maintain a safe and organized vehicle. Strong communication, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure are essential.

Responsibilities:

Safely operate delivery vehicles and follow all traffic laws and company driving policies Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Plan and organize delivery routes for efficiency and timeliness Load and unload vans strategically to ensure smooth and prompt deliveries Deliver parcels, collect COD payments, and obtain customer signatures as required Provide exceptional customer service, prioritizing White Glove delivery standards Communicate effectively with central dispatch using mobile communications and equipment Work within a team, following the buddy system to ensure safety and efficiency Assist drivers and team members with van loading and package handling Lift and move items safely, including the use of dollies and other equipment Follow safe driving practices and maintain awareness of surroundings Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and efficiently Maintain high standards of health and safety, reporting any incidents to management Participate in health and safety meetings when required and support incident investigations Use technical equipment and technology to support delivery operations

Job Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent (required) 1+ years of experience as a Courier (preferred) Valid Canadian Class 5 Driver's License or higher Clean driver's abstract Satisfactory criminal record check Legally entitled to work in Canada Ability to safely lift and carry heavy objects (50+ lbs) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficient in using scanners and mobile delivery technology Available 1 - 5 days per week depending on parcel volumes Seasonal work from November - Jan 15th with the option to extend.

Pay: From $20.40 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 40 per week
