Job Description

The Opportunity:

This position is responsible for assisting with the development, monitoring, implementing and evaluation of fitness and wellness programs and services.

As our preferred candidate, you will have:

Grade 12 or equivalent. 2 year post secondary diploma in physical education, kinesiology or recreation. AFLCA resistance training certification (or equivalent certification from another recognized association). Intermediate First Aid certification. Possession of a valid Alberta Driver's license. 1 year experience in a fitness centre instructing group exercise classes. Exceptional customer service skills with the qualities to thrive within a team environment. Demonstrated high level of verbal, written and listening skills. Ability to instruct, motivate and encourage others. Proven to be self-motivated with strong leadership skills. Demonstrate punctuality, adaptability and flexibility. Ability to work irregular hours including evenings and weekends is essential. Commitment to the City's Cornerstone Values.

Remuneration:

$34.42 to $36.23 per hour.

Hours of Work:

64 hours biweekly, as scheduled. Shifts include early mornings, daytime, evenings and weekends to meet the needs to the facility.
