Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Fish Plant Worker to join our team in a fast-paced food processing environment. This role involves working with fresh fish to ensure quality packaging and processing while maintaining strict food safety and sanitation standards. The ideal candidate will have experience or interest in the food industry, manufacturing, or butchery, and possess mechanical knowledge to assist with equipment operation and maintenance. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in food processing and meat cutting within a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities

Assist with fish processing, including cleaning, filleting, and meat cutting as needed Operate packaging machinery to prepare products for shipment Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness throughout the plant Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and quality control procedures Perform routine equipment checks and basic troubleshooting to ensure smooth operations Support manufacturing processes by following standard operating procedures Assist with inventory management and proper storage of processed fish products Adhere to all safety protocols and promote a safe working environment

Requirements

Prior experience in food processing, manufacturing, or butchery is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided Knowledge of sanitation standards and food safety regulations is highly desirable Mechanical aptitude or knowledge of equipment operation is a plus Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Strong teamwork skills and willingness to follow safety guidelines Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks Commitment to maintaining cleanliness and adhering to sanitation protocols

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $16.00-$22.00 per hour
