Fish Department Manager



Summary:



The role of the Fish Department Manager is to effectively supervise a work team to ensure excellence in customer service, while offering a wide variety of fresh, top-quality products, in line with Adonis Group standards. The Fishmonger must manage departmental operations in line with store sales targets, while complying with government food hygiene and workplace safety standards.

Specific Tasks:



Team Management:

Ensure compliance with personal hygiene and dress code standards for team members.

Follow-up on training and development activities

Complete and submit evaluation forms

Scheduling staff according to needs and budget

Activities related to staff recruitment

Customer service:

Ensure excellent customer service within the department

Manage customer complaints

Fish Department:

Good knowledge of the various products offered

Establish and execute department merchandising plans

Maintain proper inventory to minimize under/over stocks

Follow-up on merchandise receipts and order accuracy

Be able to perform different fish cuts and preparation/cleaning methods

Respect all store food safety procedures and follow up with the team

Complete the manager's daily rounds

Related duties

Eligibility Criteria:



2 years' experience in team management

2 years' relevant experience in a grocery store

Good knowledge of products sold

Competencies:

Leadership skills

Sense of organization and responsibility

Relations:



The Fish Department Manager communicates with the store manager. He or she also liaises with the managers of other departments and with members of his or her team.
