First Year Autobody Technician

Job Description
Avalon Ford is looking for a First Year Autobody Technician to join our team. The technician will be responsible for prepping various makes and models of vehicles for bodywork and paint, as well as some warranty diagnosis and repairs, accessory installation, and Pre Delivery Inspections. Responsibilities include preparing panels to be primed, priming car body, sanding, applying primer, executing minor body work.

Job Duties
Read, understand and follow work orders Detail vehicles to remove signs of accident or repair Inspection of projects prior to refinishing to ensure work is complete Prepare vehicles for primer and paint Proceed refinishing operations including Cleaning, masking, prepping, application of paint materials as per special operation procedures Clean and smooth surfaces before application of paint and primer as per special operation procedures Prepping the vehicle for paint Detailing of paint work upon completion Diagnose and perform minor body related warranty repairs Install various accessories on new or used sold vehicles Complete clear and accurate written documentation of the details for all work completed
Requirements
High School equivalent and college automotive body repair Previous experience as an Auto Body Technician preferred Ability to lift up to 80 lbs Ability to work under pressure Proficiency in using various power tools and hand tools required for auto body work A commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction Possess a valid Drivers license with drivers abstract Clean letter of conduct
