What you\'ll be doing\xe2\x80\xa6

  • Drive application strategy at a more operational and tactical level with products, channels, marketing, technology, analytics to realize target objectives
  • Support strategic planning process, provide leadership in developing and deploying strategic initiatives centred on customer centred offers and product onboarding
  • Develop dashboards to ensure performance against stated objectives are visualized and articulated for leadership consumption
  • Lead and drive a customer-focused culture across the team to deepen customer relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge
  • Manage a continuous prioritization framework to ensure focus is always being placed on our highest priority initiatives for customers and employees
  • Obtain external trending, insights and best practices, and work with internal partners to obtain customer and employee insights to inform and validate prioritization
  • Leads and manages idea validation, cost/benefit analysis, and business case development through to approval of funding of priority initiatives
  • Lead and manages design, development and implementation of priority initiatives
  • Develops and strengthens relationships within and outside the Retail Customer Value team to drive partnerships to ensure successful implementation
  • Understands how the Bank\'s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions
  • Creates an environment in which the team pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank\'s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk
What you need to succeed\xe2\x80\xa6
  • Undergraduate Business (or related discipline), MBA or equivalent would be an asset or related experience in strategy/management
  • 5+ years\' experience within financial services, strategy development, project management, and/or other fields with a demonstrated capacity to define and implement strategic initiatives
  • Understanding of customer strategy, development and delivery; personalization, onboarding, campaign and offer ecosystem technologies and operating model understanding
  • Ability to create innovative and scalable solutions with awareness of channel specifics
  • Knowledge of Canadian and international banking trends and intermediate-to-high knowledge of banking products
  • Ability to proactively identify and leverage multiple sources of direct and indirect data to build performance management dashboards and insights
  • Ability to structure and scope complex problems, synthesize insights and develop solutions
  • Understanding of the connection between the customer and employee experience to design, develop and deliver enhanced experiences
  • Stakeholder engagement, co-ordination, strategic influencing and people management skills, to facilitate teamwork and execution of priority initiatives
  • Written and verbal communication skills and ability to synthesize and communicate key information to various audiences
  • Project management skills and highly developed interpersonal relationship management skills to collaborate and effectively build strong working relationships with internal and external partners along with resolving concerns, and to identify and mitigate project risk as required
  • Ability to deliver results in a fast-paced, challenging and dynamic business environment and able to work both independently and collaboratively with multi-functional teams, as both a leader and member
