The Procurement Analyst is responsible for supporting Bank-wide sourcing and project activities while working closely with senior business unit leadership and other sourcing leaders. The ideal candidate is excited about working in a flexible environment, collaborating with business partners, learning about sourcing and procurement activities, and delivering high quality results.

Accountabilities:

  • Support the Strategic Sourcing team to manage supplier strategies and commercial relationships with suppliers.
  • Develop and drive supplier scorecards and ongoing supplier performance improvement opportunities.
  • Own and maintain key inputs required for enterprise-wide reporting and analysis for key reports and decisions.
  • Liaise with procurement partners to review, report on, and revise contractual agreements, supplier, and category strategies as necessary.
  • Develop working knowledge of the third-party risk management process and requirements across the key risk categories.
  • Liaise with the business contract/risk owners to provide support in the management of all aspects of third-party risk, including ongoing monitoring activities (the business/contract owner owns the risk).
  • Identify ways to expand or improve the operational relationship with a supplier to better accommodate the Bank\xe2\x80\x99s needs. Identifies process improvement opportunities to drive better quality and delivery performance.
  • Understand how the Bank\xe2\x80\x99s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to- day activities and decisions. Support development and implementation of relevant policies, standard, frameworks, and requirements relating to third party risk management
  • Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge
  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook, and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.
  • Champions a high-performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops, and motivates team members by fostering an inclusive work environment, communicating vison/values/business strategy and managing succession and development planning for the team.
  • Supports sourcing and category analysis as required.
Education / Experience / Skills required:
  • Post-secondary education in relevant field or equivalent experience preferred
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel (Formulas/Charts, Analysis Toolkit, Pivot Tables)
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data, interpret results and communicate findings
  • Experience in supplier relationship management, financial services, or procurement related field is beneficial
