What You\xe2\x80\x99ll Be Doing
When you join our Audit team, you\'ll get to work with your colleagues to provide leadership and improve the overall control environment within CIBC, and act as a individual contributor or lead multi-skilled audit teams on large and/or complex audits. Furthermore, you will work collaboratively with audit management and other audit team members to asses key business risks and evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of related processes and controls, identify and communicate internal control inefficiencies to business line management, advise business partners of best practices, and promote compliance with CIBC policies and procedures, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements. You will also be responsible for managing multiple audit assignments at different stages of the audit cycle and complete required tasks on a timely basis, and communicate regularly with your team and manager to provide updates on progress.

Kindly Note: Outside of Ontario, this position is available for remote work in Canada. In Ontario, we operate within a hybrid model.


REQUIREMENTS

  • Self-Identify as First Nations, Metis, or Inuit
  • Strong oral/written communication skills
  • Experience in audit practices, preferably with a focus on retail banking, capital markets, finance, and related regulatory environment
  • Post-secondary education in business or a related field and an Audit or Accounting designation (CA, CMA, CGA, CPA, ACCA)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Passionate about people, able to build and maintain relationships
  • Problem-solver, critical, analytical, and creative problem-solving skills
  • Driven by collective success, team player
