TCBN is a non profit organization addressing the challenges of access to good jobs, local economic development and neighborhood revitalization particularly as they impact historically disadvantaged communities, and equity seeking groups in Toronto.

We are looking for a candidate to join our team as a Membership & Volunteer Assistant, that will be supporting the Campaigns Manager in raising awareness about membership and volunteer opportunities at the Toronto Community Benefits Network.
Your Day to Day activities will include
:


  • Attending monthly staff meetings when requested
  • Recruit and training volunteers
  • Assist with all administrative matters related to gathering members and volunteers such as data input
  • Coordinating the outreach efforts of the organization such as membership promotion, and volunteering through local projects
  • Assisting with the coordination of member and volunteer engagement at TCBN events
  • Retaining current members volunteers through different acts to keep enthusiasm high, and show appreciation for their contributions
  • Assisting with and promoting the activities for which members and volunteers are required
  • Promoting and supporting membership and outreach events.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 1 year of relevant work or volunteer experience in community
  • Plans, prioritizes, and delivers tasks on time
  • Demonstrates integrity
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Previous demonstrated experience working in a team based environment
  • Displays cultural, gender, religion, race, nationality and age sensitivity and adaptability
