The Role


As a First Cook, you'll be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes with care and efficiency for a range of on-site events, including weddings, catered functions, and large-scale gatherings. Your focus will be on delivering consistent quality, excellent presentation, and timely service.


Your key responsibilities will include:

Prepare ingredients and cook food according to recipes, production schedules, and quality standards, focusing on consistency for large volumes. Ensure all food is cooked to proper temperatures, packaged correctly, and ready for banquet service. Plate dishes and pizzas to recipe and presentation standards, including preparing Neapolitan-style pizzas and operating wood-fired ovens. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, equipment, and tools, especially during high-volume events. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and service Support inventory management and supply ordering for banquet operations. Follow food safety regulations for handling, storing, and labeling food products. Maintain a professional and positive attitude with staff and guests. Operate and maintain kitchen equipment used in banquet preparation. Assist with setup and cleanup of kitchen and service areas before and after events. Perform other related duties as assigned.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

1-2 years of experience in a high-volume kitchen, banquet facility, or similar setting. Proficient in basic cooking techniques, including knife skills, sauteing, grilling, and frying. Able to multitask and maintain attention to detail in fast-paced, large-scale service environments. Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices for mass food production. Excellent team communication and collaboration skills. Positive attitude, eager to learn, and adaptable to new challenges. Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Passion for food and commitment to delivering exceptional banquet experiences. Physically able to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks. Comfortable working outdoors and in high-pressure environments.
