First Aid Attendant with OFA Level 2 - Williams Lake

New City Contracting is looking for an experienced First Aid Attendant with OFA Level 2 for our project in Williams Lake, BC. Minimum of 2 years experience in site safety required; as well as construction knowledge.

Responsibilities:

• Provide Health & Safety functional leadership, mentorship, and guidance to site operations and management personnel
• Respond to issues relating to health, safety, environment, emergency response, performance metrics, and safety management systems for site operations
• Conducting site inspections and identifying hazards and correcting them where necessary
• Implement the New City Health and Safety protocols on site
• Conduct daily public health & safety inspections and maintain records
• Communicate safety requirements to all personnel on site
• Provide site orientations to new workers/visitors to the site
• Administer first aid services to all personnel on the work site as necessary
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Knowledgeable about WorkSafe BC requirements

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software as required to maintain records and logs.
• Ability to remain calm and tactful in stressful situations.
• Ability and willingness to work with open cuts, burns, and other injuries.
• Good judgment and evaluation skills.

Education and Experience:

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• OFA Level 2
