Position Overview

Dynamite Construction Ltd. is seeking a qualified and safety-minded

First Aid Attendant

to join our field operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing immediate and effective medical assistance to injured or ill workers, maintaining first aid equipment, and ensuring compliance with WorkSafeBC Occupational Health and Safety Regulations. This role is vital to promoting a culture of safety and ensuring the well-being of all personnel on site.

Key Responsibilities

Administer prompt and appropriate first aid care in accordance with WorkSafeBC standards and company procedures. Maintain and inspect all first aid equipment, supplies, and facilities to ensure readiness and compliance. Document and report all incidents, injuries, and treatments using company forms and WorkSafeBC requirements. Support the Site Supervisor and Safety Officer with daily safety inspections, toolbox talks, and emergency preparedness activities. Monitor work areas for potential hazards and assist in implementing corrective actions. Coordinate emergency response and evacuation procedures as required. Communicate with paramedics, medical professionals, and safety authorities as necessary during emergencies. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling medical information and incident reports.

Qualifications and Requirements

Valid

Occupational First Aid (OFA) Level 3

certificate (WorkSafeBC recognized). Strong knowledge of WorkSafeBC regulations and emergency response procedures. Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills. Physically fit and capable of working in demanding outdoor environments and rugged terrain. Ability to remain calm, decisive, and professional during medical emergencies. Valid

WHMIS 2015

certification (or willingness to obtain). Class 5 Driver's Licence with a clean abstract preferred.
