Your mission: To contribute to high-quality product development through validating the features implemented by the development team. You will be working directly with our building controller products and you will work with a large variety of technologies and network protocols.

In this role you will:
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the firmware development lifecycle
  • Design and execute test plans and cases, including functional stress tests, with support from Senior Quality Assurance Analysts
  • Verify functional requirements, resolved bugs, and performance standards
  • Design and execute test cases
  • Report bugs, errors, and opportunities for improvement using standard processes and metrics
  • Troubleshoot to verify and diagnose cause of issues
  • Assist in the definition of testable acceptance criteria
  • Construct and maintain test equipment and environments
  • Advocate for quality in team planning, retrospectives, and other activities.

This role might be right for you if you have:
  • Post-secondary education in information technology, computer networks, computer science, or related field; equivalent experience would also be considered (or 2 years of equivalent work experience or certifications)
  • Experience in the IT field and knowledge of common network protocols.
  • Experience with software or hardware testing.
  • Outstanding communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
  • Desire to figure out how to break things and put them back together.
  • A detailed oriented mind and the ability to isolate problems to repeatable steps.
