Working with the Firmware team, the student will work closely with members of the team to improve our system integration testing platform. This is a full-time position for the duration of a work term.


This position is for someone in a computer science or engineering program to learn about working as part of a technical team. You will be exposed to embedded products, their design and testing methodologies.

Skills/Qualifications:

Degree in Computer Science or Electrical/Computer Engineering Experience using C/C++ in an embedded environment Experience working with an embedded RTOS Experience writing low level drivers Object Oriented Design and Development experience

Responsibilities:

Assist in the development and testing of firmware for various safety devices. Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate firmware with hardware components. Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of coding standards. Debug existing firmware and troubleshoot issues in a timely manner. Document design processes, test cases, and results. Support the team in researching new technologies and tools to enhance firmware capabilities. Contribute to team meetings and provide updates on project progress.
