The focus of this role is to own, code and drive the verification of Training Algorithms, interrupts handling, error handling etc in Firmware. This opportunity provides a balance of definition, firmware design, system-level understanding, and post-Si debug with exposure to full design cycle. Be a part of a team that delivers Industry-leading IP and help our experts in RTL, FW, circuit, and architecture teams develop leading-edge and differentiating IPs.THE PERSON:The Firmware Engineer Results-oriented, proactive, must be a self-starter, and able to independently drive tasks to completion. They must have strong problem-solving skills and pronounced attention to detail. The candidate must have an acumen for learning, and ready to take on problems, fast ramp up on DDR/new technology. Excellent communication skills and must be able to collaborate with other engineers geographically in different time zones.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop firmware functions like training algorithms, interrupts handling, error handling etc.
  • Collaborate with architects, hardware engineers, and software engineers to understand the new features/algorithm to be coded
  • Drive the feature implementation end-end; proactively read the specs, attending to details, closing the opens to do a thorough job
  • Code with high quality, document, drive the verification of the feature working with verification team
  • Make and meet commitments, and execute with honesty, flawlessly
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
  • Proficiency in Software programming skills - C programming, data structures, and firmware experience around embedded u-controller in C, good coding practices
  • Prior Serial interface protocols knowledge or industry experience will be helpful
  • Working knowledge of Python and work experience with assembly language will be helpful
  • Digital Verilog ASIC design experience will be helpful, familiarity with reading Verilog code, debug in Verdi, logic design concepts
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in computer engineering/Electrical Engineering
