Note: We have both camp jobs with fly-in and fly-out options and company accommodation in Fort McMurray with a daily commute to the site option. Preference will be given to candidates with Kidde Fire Suppression System or ANSUL Fire Suppression System training.

Ward's has been in business for over twenty years and operates primarily in Alberta and British Columbia, Canada. Its workforce is highly skilled and can attend to just about any need that arises in the equipment fire protection, hydraulic services, and heavy equipment parts and service arenas.

Job Summary:

We seek Fire Suppression and Lubrication System Technicians to join our team. The ideal candidate will install, inspect, and maintain fire suppression and lubrication systems on off-road mining and forestry equipment, such as dozers, graders, haul trucks, shovels, etc.

Duties:

Provide fire protection system and lubrication system service including but not limited to:

Preventative Maintenance of off-road Fire Suppression Systems

Repairs, Installs, Troubleshooting, Recharges of off-road Fire Suppression Systems

Discharge investigations

. Submit records of the work performed: Duly filled PM Check Sheet, work report and LEMs

Assist lead hand in discharge investigations

Duly fill time sheets and passover Notes at the end of each shift.

Requirements:

Mechanical aptitude is a must.

Must be well-versed with hand tools.

Electrical troubleshooting an asset

Physically able to climb, carry, and lift 40 lb.

. Physically and mentally capable of performing all duties in a safe and professional manner

Driver license with clean driver abstract

These positions require drug and alcohol testing as a condition of employment.

Fire Suppression Experience: 3 years Mechanical knowledge and experience: 3 years Lubrication: 2 years (preferred) Education: Secondary School (preferred)
