Job Description

Working within a team of fire protection professionals, your work will help the company
to adequately meet our clients\xe2\x80\x99 expectations and guarantee them fully compliant fire
suppression systems.

You will mainly be responsible for assisting journeyperson with inspection, upgrades and
repairs, and new installations of sprinkler systems such as water suppression systems
(sprinklers), foam systems, gas agent systems and fire pump equipment.
You do not need to be a Local 179 member to apply. People that have mechanical
aptitude and who are interested in pursuing a career in Sprinkler Fitting are welcome to
apply.

WORK AREA
Saskatoon, Prince Albert, Northern Saskatchewan

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• No previous experience of sprinkler system installation required;
• Certified Sprinkler Fitter or apprentice (Union Local 488) (an asset);
• Graduate of Sprinkler Inspection training programs (an asset);
• Experience with all water suppression systems, foam systems, gas agent systems and fire pump equipment necessary (an asset);
• Backflow testing certificate (an asset);
• Valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license;
• Fall Protection (an asset);
• H2S Alive (an asset);
• Lift Training (an asset);
• Ability to work on sites with pre-screening as a requirement;
• Ability to work out of town for extended periods of time.
