Job Description

Working within a team of fire protection professionals, your work will help the company to adequately meet our clients\xe2\x80\x99 expectations and guarantee them fully compliant fire alarm systems.

You will mainly be responsible for the verification, programming, service and inspection of fire alarm systems according to standards and codes. Among other things, your responsibilities will be:

• Verify work to be done on the Work order;
• Proceed to verifications and annual inspections as per applicable standards and procedures;
• Troubleshoot (or assist electrician in troubleshooting) fire alarm panels during verifications or as part of a service call;
• Perform maintenance and reparation following the annual inspection;
• Complete the Checklist before departure as per procedure;
• Complete the inspection and verification report as per procedure;
• Other tasks related to position.

• The majority of the work will be based in the Victoria (BC) area, however travel may be required.

• 5 years of relevant experience in service and inspection of fire protection systems;
• CFAA certification (an asset);
• Must be able to obtain Government of Canada security clearance;
• Must have the ability to travel when required;
• Team player;
• Must be available on-call on a 6 week rotational basis.
