Fire Alarm Technician Trainee.

Working with our experienced technicians, as a Fire Alarm Technician Trainee, you will be responsible for supporting inspection, testing and servicing related to fire protection systems and equipment. Some additional expectations, but not limited to of this role include:


Providing on-site assistance to certified technicians. Assisting in identification of general deficiencies and issues. Ensuring timely and quality completion of daily reports, work orders, and activities. Monitoring parts inventory and equipment maintenance requirements. Assist in providing daily feedback to Service Co-Ordinator on the status and outcome of all assigned service orders and inspections and any additional service work to be scheduled as a result; and Following all safe work practices and safety leadership is demonstrated in all aspects of the job.




The successful candidate would bring a variety of

competencies

to the role including:


Ability to safely execute high quality work on-time High level of self motivation Keen attention to detail Strong communication, interpersonal, time management and organizational skills Ability to work both collaboratively with team members as well as, independently Flexibility to address changing situations/priorities Ability to learn and operate various power tools and machinery Knowledge of current NFPA fire codes would be preferred Knowledge of Electronics systems would be preferred




Candidate must also possess the following

experience and training credentials

:


All combinations of education in a related field and experience will be considered. College/ Trade level education in Electronics or Fire Protection Technology, along with applicable fire service certifications would be preferred. Valid driver's license




Applicants must be able to travel to and work out of remote client sites. Overtime and overnight travel will be required; therefore, hours of work/schedule will vary.
