Job Summary

We are seeking a CFAA certified Fire Alarm Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong Electrical and Fire Alarm background, with the ability to work with low voltage systems. This role involves installing, programming, testing, maintaining, and repairing Fire Alarm systems in commercial settings. The Alarm Technician will verify the fire alarm system for compliance with relevant ULC standards and ensure that all systems are functioning properly and meet ULC codes and standards.

Responsibilities

Program, test and commission and verify new Fire Alarm Systems in accordance with ULC-S537. Perform testing and annual inspection and VI in accordance with ULC S536 Attend service calls, troubleshoot and restore the system to normalcy. Utilize hand tools and power tools to complete installations and repairs efficiently. Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to understand system layouts and specifications. Conduct thorough inspections to detect issues or malfunctions in alarm systems. Collaborate with clients to assess their fire system needs and provide tailored solutions. Provide training to clients on the operation and routine maintenance Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and service calls and prepare Verification reports .

Qualifications

Must have CFAA Certification Proven Electrical knowledge with experience in Mechanical systems preferred. Familiarity with low voltage wiring and installation practices. Proficient in reading blueprints and schematics related to alarm systems. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to detect issues quickly. Experience using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Excellent communication skills for client interaction and teamwork. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various environments. Relevant training in fire alarm systems is a plus but not required.
