We are seeking a skilled Alarm Technician to install, maintain, and repair security and alarm systems for residential, commercial, and industrial clients. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of electrical systems, schematics, and low-voltage wiring, ensuring the safety and security of our customers through expert service delivery. Duties
Install alarm systems including sensors, control panels, and related components according to blueprints and schematics
Conduct system troubleshooting and repairs to ensure optimal operation
Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, and blueprints for accurate installation
Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to perform installations and repairs
Work with low-voltage wiring and electrical components safely and efficiently
Test alarm systems to verify proper functionality before completion of installation
Maintain detailed documentation of work performed and system configurations
Collaborate with clients to explain system features and answer questions about operation and maintenance
Skills
Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding construction schematics
Electrical experience with a solid understanding of low-voltage systems
Mechanical knowledge related to sensors, power supplies, and mechanical components of alarm systems
Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
Familiarity with sensors, security devices, and alarm system components
Strong problem-solving skills for troubleshooting system issues
Knowledge of safety protocols related to electrical work and construction environments
Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration
