AK Brown is currently seeking a CFAA Certified Senior technician

Responsibilities:

lead annual and monthly Fire and Life Safety inspections which includes fire alarm and emergency lighting in accordance with CAN/ULC-S536

Assist sprinkler inspection by reporting and recording alarms and supervisories displayed on the fire panel

Troubleshoot and replace faulty devices on all manufacturers fire alarm systems

able to work independently and under minimal supervision

Fill out and submit reports by end of job

Knowledge of fire and building codes

Train JR Technicians in all aspects of Fire & Life Safety inspections

Perform ULC monitoring Installations and Inspections as per CAN/ULC-S561

Join on call rotation

Excellent communication with customers and keen eye for detail

Qualifications:

CFAA certified technician

Experience with all major fire alarm manufacturers panel (Chubb, Siemens, Notifier, Mircom, Honeywell, Simplex)

Minimum 3 years performing inspections and repairs as the senior tech

Drivers Licence and clean abstract

Computer literate and knowledge of Microsoft excel, outlook, and word.

Electrical apprenticeship or ticket would be considered an asset.
