We are currently recruiting for a

Carpenter Journeyperson

to join the

Buildings

team in the

Lower Mainland! We're looking for a candidate that has experience with finishing carpentry.

Shifts are 5 days on 2 days off - chance to work overtime (this may include extended hours/ weekends/ or possible afternoon & night shift) if site requires.

This role will involve the following:

Trim, fit, level, shim, and secure baseboards, mantles, window trims, door casings, and crown moldings Build, install, and finish cabinets and shelves Sand, stain, and polish wood surfaces Utilize planers, sanders, jointers, and other power tools as needed to cut and assemble Read and interpret blueprints and drawings Fix imperfections; align joints, refinish, and repair as needed to produce a final quality product Informs immediate supervisor of abnormalities or defects and/or takes appropriate measures General site upkeep

Minimum Requirements:

Preference will be given to a candidate that has a Carpenter Journeyperson Ticket from a recognized provincial training authority Non-ticketed carpenters must provide proof of hours relevant to the industrial Carpentry trade Experience as a finishing carpenter Certifications: CSTS & WHMIS Fall Protection is an asset Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Describe and point out safety compliance and regulatory issues Candidates must be legally able to work in Canada
