Job Description

Genuwine Cellars is currently seeking a talented Finisher to join our team in Winnipeg, MB. The ideal candidate brings experience finishing craftsman-level custom millwork and/or furniture, including custom finishes such as metals. That said, we are equally open to candidates who may not have direct industry experience but possess the right mindset, strong attention to detail, and a genuine eagerness to learn. Successful candidates will be trained and mentored by our experienced craftsmen in a world-class custom environment.

The Finisher will be responsible for the surface preparation and finishing of metal components and custom-fabricated products. You'll ensure all parts meet design and quality specifications through sanding, grinding, polishing, and applying various finishing treatments.

Position Overview

We are looking for a motivated self-starter who has experience in the building and finishing of high-caliber custom pieces that are deeply technical and one of a kind. As a finisher you will be responsible for the final touches that ensure our products meet our high-quality standards. This includes sanding, staining, painting, polishing, and inspecting finished work to ensure flawless results in the build and installation of our world class wine cellars.

Desired Qualifications

You have 5+ years of related experience as a Finisher

Experience in metal finishing, fabrication, or a related trade

Experience in custom millwork, finishing, or a related trade

.Knowledge of finishing tools and techniques (grinders, buffers, sandblasters, etc.)

A passing criminal background check for entry into the U.S. and other countries is preferred

A valid Class 5 drivers' licence and ability to get a Class 3 in the future

. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

. Physically able to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for extended periods
