We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Finish Carpenter to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, woodworking, and various finishing techniques, with the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics. This role involves working on residential, commercial, and restoration projects, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards. The Finish Carpenter will collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other trades to deliver exceptional results on time and within scope.
Duties
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to determine project specifications.
Install cabinetry, flooring, tile, siding, and other finish elements with precision.
Perform concrete forming, rebar installation, and masonry work as needed for finishing touches.
Execute painting, caulking, and sealing tasks to enhance project aesthetics and durability.
Use hand tools, power tools, CNC machines, and other equipment safely and efficiently.
Assist with framing, drywall installation, electrical wiring, plumbing rough-ins, and roofing when required.
Conduct restoration work including woodwork repairs and refinishing surfaces.
Estimate materials needed for projects and assist with construction estimating processes.
Maintain a clean work environment and ensure all safety protocols are followed during operations.
Collaborate with team members to complete projects on schedule while maintaining quality standards.
Qualifications
Proven experience in carpentry, woodworking, or related construction trades.
Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction estimating.
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, and heavy equipment operation.
Experience in concrete forming, masonry, flooring installation, tile laying, siding installation, roofing, and cabinetry is highly desirable.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work at heights or in confined spaces as needed.
Familiarity with electrical systems, plumbing rough-ins or finishing is a plus.
Maintenance Person experience or general construction background is advantageous.
Excellent attention to detail with a focus on craftsmanship quality.
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
