Specific Job Duties:

Build

custom furniture, high end residential and high volume commercial jobs.

Consult

with shop Forman, follow his instructions.

Produce

each piece in a reasonably amount time, keep quality high, while keeping your work station clean and tidy.

Maintain professional and technical knowledge

; by attending educational workshops.

Contributes to team effort

; by doing whatever needs to be done.

Wood Worker Skills and Qualifications:

-

Useful Skills and aptitudes

; Furniture construction, can use wood working tools and machines, can read furniture drawings and follow cut lists, attention to detail, can work under pressure, communicates well and understands the need to be safe.

Education;

Diploma in joinery or furniture design and construction would be useful.

Experience;

Have built furniture in the past. Furniture design or construction experience would be helpful.

Also;

Ask questions to clarify understanding, listen and understand other points of view, speak respectfully to everyone and take responsibility for decisions and actions.

Work Load and Remuneration:

This is a part-time or full-time position with an expected workload of 20 to 40 hours per week. Based on qualifications and experience, remuneration varies, from minimum wage to $28.00 per hour + Benefits. Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm. Start date, ASAP.
