The Burnaby Art Gallery is looking for a Contract Fine Arts Instructor to deliver the Burnaby Art Gallery\xe2\x80\x99s printmaking program, BAG on a bike, to the general public, working with participants that range from children to seniors. You will be using an electric bike (e-bike) to take a portable printing press to various locations and events within the lower mainland and delivering a printmaking program. If your experience is in this area and your passion falls within Visual Arts, we would love to hear from you! Successful applicants must have a degree or diploma in Visual Arts along with a strong background and related teaching experience in a variety of age groups and in a variety of contexts. The ideal candidate has prior visual arts instruction experience with various age groups and a focus on children, has great communication and customer service skills and is quick to respond when faced with challenging circumstances. Preferred candidates will have printmaking experience, be able to create a positive and encouraging learning environment, and will be friendly and motivating with participants. Must be able to ride a bike, have experience and be comfortable riding an e-bike. Current First Aid certification is required. Please apply online by May 17, 2023 at www.burnaby.ca/careers.
