Fine Art Framer
Job Description
Petroff Gallery is seeking a part-time fine art framer. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with fine art framing, and will be organized, detail-oriented, an excellent communicator, and self-motivated.
Assemble custom frames and fittings for a wide variety of artworks including canvases, ketubahs, prints and works on paper.
Keep track of the location and status of framing orders
Wrap completed framing orders and notify clients when orders are complete
Maintain a clean, organized framing department
Requirements:
3+ years of experience with fine art framing, ideally in a gallery environment
Strong knowledge of framing methods and styles
Prior experience handling fine art; knowledge of safe handling and storage practices for paintings, artworks on paper, prints, textiles, and mixed-media works
Ability to handle large artworks and materials
Ability to work independently
