The Financial Services Representative understands customers\xe2\x80\x99 banking needs and provides appropriate financial solutions. This includes new accounts, credit products, basic investment advice, and promoting all banking products and services to create a legendary customer experience. This role will contribute to the growth of the business by developing and deepening the new and existing customer relationships and will be responsible for meeting and exceeding specific, individual and team based business goals. The Financial Services Representative reports to the Branch Manager. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Proactively promote Shinhan Bank\xe2\x80\x99s products and services by listening to and identifying the needs of customers
  • Create a positive \xe2\x80\x9cFirst Impression\xe2\x80\x99\xe2\x80\x9d by greeting and engaging customers in a range of sales, service and informational conversations
  • Provide sound advice at every customer interaction to create a positive customer experience
  • Complete financial transactions; deposits, withdrawals, bill payments, and other account transactions for customers accurately and efficiently
  • Complete a variety of account transactions; conduct customer interviews, and complete loan applications, approvals, and loans for customers accurately and efficiently as and when required
  • Be knowledgeable of and comply with Bank and industry codes of conduct and with securities laws and regulations
  • Ensure necessary due diligence is taken to support the accuracy of all customer transactions
  • Promote and help bring new deposits into the bank and retain existing client base
  • Contribute to the achievement of branch business objectives by meeting or exceeding individual sales goals
  • Handle roll over GIC, TD, TSFA, RRSP and installment deposit
  • Identify and refer customers to team members and internal Bank partners as appropriate
  • Handle F/X (Import & Export Doc. DA/DP) and remittance (inward, outward and internet banking)
  • Understand and apply bank/branch operating policies and procedures \xe2\x80\x93 including assisting with the branch opening and closing procedures on a rotational basis
  • Support FSAs on administrative tasks relating to loans such as loan renewals and documentations, etc.
Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of experience in financial services
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree is required
  • Skilled assessing new and existing customer needs, providing quality advice and recommendations
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Strong attention to detail and demonstrated skills to effectively organize and prioritize work volumes
  • Flexibility to withstand unpredictable changes to schedule and deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to build quality, long-term relationships with clients
  • Strong teamwork orientation
  • Advanced computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
