As a Financial Services Representative (FSR), you play an important role in Beem achieving the organization's strategic goals and supporting our corporate vision. In this role you process a wide variety of financial transactions and promote and deliver a broad range of services related to demand, credit and other deposit products. You are also a resource for developing and building new and existing member relationships by proactively identifying member needs and matching their needs with a full range of banking products and services and the appropriate staff resource. Your work requires that you maintain a high level of accuracy and confidentiality. What you'll do:
Demonstrate a professional, courteous and respectful manner.
Consistently apply Gulf & Fraser's Standards of Conduct and Service Quality.
Process deposits, withdrawals, bill payments, bank drafts, loan payments, credit card advances and other member counter service transactions.
Set up and modification of MemberCard, MemberLink and MemberDirect accounts.
Balance and process ATM transactions.
Handle cash, cash equivalents, safeguarding keys, passwords, teller stamps and other related items in accordance with Credit Union policies and practices.
Accurate and timely balancing of all transactional activity.
Receive and screen incoming phone calls, determining caller needs, distributing and scheduling member contact, referrals to other Credit Union staff and appointments as needed.
Greet members and respond to inquiries regarding Credit Union products and services, processing member transactions and requests and resolving routine member service issues.
Apply communication and listening skills to identify needs-based opportunities, refer more complex requests and
opportunities to appropriate Credit Union staff. Promote demand, deposit, wealth management and loan products and services.
Prepare, modify and maintain member account documentation.
Promptly follow up all internal referrals and member contact procedures to ensure a high level of comprehensive member service.
Liaise between Account Managers, Tellers, Call Centre, and Administration team to maintain the efficient flow of
documentation and effective communication. Maintain a professional standard of conduct at all times, adhere to established security procedures and confidentiality
policies. Participate in the development, implementation and achievement of department goals, sales targets and performance
measurements. Refer member service requests and transactions outside of your area of responsibility to appropriate staff.
A little about your qualifications:
Secondary School diploma plus 2 years' experience in a financial institution or Credit Union, including a minimum of 1 year in a sales and service position.
Proven ability to follow specific procedures and accurately and efficiently complete job responsibilities.
Proven ability to effectively manage multiple tasks concurrently.
Proven ability to accurately balance all posted transactions in a timely fashion.
Demonstrated proficiency working in a team environment with shared duties and responsibilities.
Demonstrated proficiency in providing professional, friendly, knowledgeable service to members.
Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
