2. POSITION SUMMARY
The FSM (Financial Services Manager) is the OMVIC licensed person that arranges the contracts for the purchase of a new or used vehicle on behalf of the sales team within the dealership. The FSM secures financing for the customer, and ensures the transaction is appropriately insured and protected to the needs of the buyer. The FSM works under the supervision of the sales managers. The FSM is an OMVIC licensed representative of the dealership.
3. POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Secure vehicle financing through approved lenders and ensure all documentation complies with federal and provincial regulations, in addition to the finance sources requirements.
Organize and manage the documentation file from point of initial turnover with the customer, to the final funding by the bank, receipting of funds and transfer of file to accounting.
Accurately complete all necessary paperwork related to vehicle sales including, but not limited, to financing, insurance, & licensing using dealership software.
These are legally binding contracts, that the business manager must complete with 100% accuracy to maintain their enforceability
Be present to review, and witness customer signing of all "final" documents prior to the customer accepting their new/used vehicle.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of lender programs, interest rates and manufacturer incentives
Arrange and Schedule all vehicle preparations for the timely delivery of the vehicle to the consumer - for example - schedule delivery clean up and detail, communicate with service and parts department to ensure accessory installation prior to delivery
Be knowledgeable of all manufacturer warranties, their limitations and offer service contracts to ensure adequate coverage for the customers anticipated needs and loan obligations.
Be knowledgeable of and offer financial service protections like Guaranteed Asset Protection (GAP), life insurance, disability insurance, to ensure the customer is protected in the event of a vehicle, life or income casualty.
Be knowledgeable of and offer vehicle appearance protections to insure against vehicle value loss due to rust, road damage etc.
Protect and maintain private customer information and documentation and ensure full compliance with privacy, legal and ethical standards as governed by the banks, the consumer protection.
Complete post sale follow up and service customer repair order prospecting

5. SUPERVISION RECEIVED
The FSM reports to and is supervised by the sales managers. T
he FSM adherence to departmental process and objectives, along with progress to industry attainment standards will be audited by the dealer principal, and reviewed monthly.
8. OTHER COMMENTS
This is a professional position that is responsible for and digitally handles many millions of dollars per year. It is an essential support role, that generates crucial revenue and establishes significant customer loyalty for the dealership.
9. 2025/2026 COMPENSATION - SALARY PLUS COMMISSION
BASE SALARY: $690/WEEK = $2990 PER MONTH
COMMISSION RATE -
IS DETERMINED BY THE PREVIOUS MONTHS PER UNIT GROSS PROFIT IN THE LAST MONTH WHERE THERE WERE 19 OR MORE TURNOVERS.
10. Scheduled Hours -
The dealership requires a Financial Service Manager for all showroom hours. The full time Financial Services Manager will cover an average of 40 of those hours and will include two weekdays that start at 9am and end at 5pm, and two days that start at 11am and end at 7pm. The full time Manager will be responsible to cover every other Saturday and will take Friday or another day off during the weeks where they are working Saturday.
