ABOUT THE ROLE
Provide value-added Finance support for the Order-to-Cash (OTC) function, including contributing to customer risk management processes, recommending and implementing value-added solutions, and ensuring efficient execution of operational activities.
YOUR DAY TO DA
Analyses, projects, and policies:
Perform customer risk profile analysis by examining purchase patterns, payment history, and behaviour to regularly reassess the credit limits of over 3,000 direct customers, balancing legitimate market demand with business risk. Develop and adjust business models that incorporate sensitivity analyses and scenario planning.
Utilize Power BI to analyze components of Revenue, Sales Allowances, and Tobacco Taxes to identify pricing and tax errors, and accurately address queries from Key Accounts Managers, wholesale partners, and direct customers.
Actively participate in projects as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Finance components of the OTC cycle, including contributing to the preparation of Business Requirement Documents and the proposal and creation of test scenarios. Collaborate with IT, Distribution, and various Shared Service teams to coordinate and execute testing and deployment.
Actively and effectively review and analyze customer payment behaviour, including defaults, and use professional judgement to recommend appropriate actions to curb poor payment patterns (e.g. procedural changes and/or local policy changes).
Periodically review local RBH customer credit procedures and policies and recommend updates as our business continues to evolve.

Customer-related operational activities
Execute PMI's P&P 10-C Know Your Customer Significant and Non-Significant Customer reviews at prescribed intervals by maintaining accurate customer classification tracking, coordinating customer documentation collection with Key Account Managers, compiling review packages, and coordinating sign-off.
Execute month-end and year-end Accounts Receivable related procedures by ensuring all Goods Issues for the period have been completed, unbilled items have been accrued for, billing in SAP is blocked and unblocked promptly, unprocessed returned items have been accrued for, etc.
Support the Customer Master Data team by liaising with internal teams to coordinate mass changes for new initiatives, investigate and resolve issues, and ensure relevant systems reflect accurate data.
Execute the local Collections and Bad Debts, and Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF) procedures by ensuring failed payments for invoices are actioned promptly or sent to the third-party collection agency.
Ensure internal and external customer inquiries received in the Finance central mailbox are actioned and responded to in an accurate, timely, and customer-centric manner.

Vendor-related operational activities
Execute PMI's 9-C Know Your Vendor P&P by performing reviews during the required timeframes, and any additional monitoring/maintenance to ensure compliance.
Ensure timely resolution for payment-related complaints and escalations.
Execute the cheque payment process and manage payment validation.
Periodically review local RBH vendor policies and procedures and recommend updates and changes as our business continues to evolve.
Actively participate in projects as an SME related to vendors, including Business Requirement Document preparation, recommending test scenarios and working with IT and Shared Service teams to plan and execute testing and deployment.
Perform periodic review of vendor spending patterns, payment issues, or anomalies and workaround solutions to support the business.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Education
College/University with a Diploma/University Degree in Accounting or Finance
Work Experience
Minimum 2 years' experience in a Financial Analyst role within a medium/large organization with complex processes. Preference for experience working within a Shared Service Centre model.
Other skills/function-specific:
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Intermediate Excel and modelling skills and understanding of accounting concepts.
Proven ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple competing, time-sensitive tasks within a complex and dynamic environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders at all organizational levels.
Ability to demonstrate customer centricity by effectively managing internal and external customer expectations while consistently upholding established practices, policies, and procedures.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally.
Ability to work well in a team as well as independently with minimal supervision
