What does a Financial Services Associate do? FSAs work in a retail banking environment where they have a meaningful impact on the financial wellness of our customers (members). They connect with current and prospective members, understand their financial goals, provide informative and personalized advice, and recommend solutions and products to achieve those goals and enable financial success. Our ideal candidate is a relationship builder. You\xe2\x80\x99re motivated, with strong problem-solving and organizational skills. You\'ll be a part of a team of knowledgeable professionals who share a genuine commitment to delivering exceptional service to our membership, including on accounts and deposit products, consumer investments, and lending products and services (such as consumer, small business, and ag loans and mortgages). If you\xe2\x80\x99re passionate about building relationships, sharing expertise, and helping people meet their financial goals, this is the dynamic career you\xe2\x80\x99re looking for! How will you get there? Synergy\xe2\x80\x99s 4-month New Grad Program based on experiential learning strikes the right balance of structure and personalized feel. You will complete assigned learnings giving you a solid knowledge base and spend time with teams such as our Contact Centre, rural branches, and Financial Service Associates/Advisors. You\xe2\x80\x99ll gain valuable insight into the workings of each area and the collaborative effort that takes place across Synergy to ensure a successful member experience. All the while, you\xe2\x80\x99ll be gaining on-the-job experience, growing your confidence, and building the skills to make that meaningful impact in our members\xe2\x80\x99 lives.   • Managing a portfolio of members, partnering with current and potential members to understand their goals and priorities,
  • Advising on and delivering a variety of products and services to meet members\xe2\x80\x99 needs,
  • Engaging in outreach, marketing, and follow-up opportunities to proactively seek out new business and deepen existing relationships, and
  • Promoting Synergy Credit Union within our communities, including engaging in business development activities, volunteerism, phone calls, emails, and participating in campaigns.
What you bring\xe2\x80\xa6
  • Related post-secondary education (such as a Diploma or Degree in Business),
  • Great relationship building skills,
  • Previous sales experience working with goals, strong closing/referral techniques, and pipeline development is desired,
  • Mutual Fund Accreditation or successful completion of accreditation within 3 months, and
  • Flexibility: **must be open to opportunities in our rural locations once training is completed**

  • Hours: Full-time; 75 hours biweekly. Flexibility to work outside various hours as required.
  • Salary: $52 870 - $66 088 annually
