Job Summary:
Reporting to the Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis as an integral part of the HCCA FP&A team, the Associate, FP&A assists the Finance Department in its role as the \xe2\x80\x9ccontrol tower\xe2\x80\x9d of the company. The Associate, FP&A is charged with building, maintaining, and enhancing models and financial projections, forecast asset growth and performance for HCCA\'s portfolio of consumer auto finance receivables. Models are grounded in large production datasets and depend on complex statistical methods to predict future performance. Model outputs guide the overall business planning process for HCCA and help determine staffing planning, debt/equity funding needs operational process objectives, revenue/sales targets, and expense budgets, and profitability goals. along with other ad-hoc analyses to inform and empower HCCA Senior Leadership in making key business decisions. The Associate, FP&A works collaboratively within FP&A and with other areas of the larger Finance team, other internal Departments to enhance existing models and develop new modeling approaches. The Associate, FP&A works closely with, external service providers charged with automating new and existing models within HCCA\'s AWS environment, providing guidance and support to external service provider staff and leading QA efforts. and The Associate, FP&A participates in the delivery of regular and ad-hoc analysis of revenue and asset trends to HCCA Senior Leadership, used in establishing short, medium and long-term financial and business objectives for HCCA.
The position requires a strong understanding of business concepts, financial accounting, statistical methods, financial modelling, and comfort working under limited supervision.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Financial forecast model development and enhancement for business planning and regular performance monitoring and reporting, focusing on HCCA\'s strongly growing portfolio of consumer auto leases and installment loans. Utilize large data sets and analyze historical trends to inform model predictions. Model development and enhancement is initially conducted in spreadsheets referencing discrete data inputs retrieved from data warehouses and is subsequently automated in HCCA\'s AWS cloud environment to enable speedier operation and integration with continuously updated data warehouse tables. Collaboration with other Departments to gather inputs on industry and OEM forecasts, sales programs and may impact future performance and modelling approaches. Independent validation and review of forecast inputs both within the Finance team and with HCCA Senior Leadership.
Work collaboratively with external service providers to automate new and existing models within HCCA\'s AWS environment. Provide external service provider staff with guidance and support, ensuring full understanding of HCCA\'s models to enable accurate AWS replication. Lead Quality Assurance and Testing efforts for completed AWS model automation work to verify usability and output consistency with spreadsheet-based model templates.
Mine data and perform ad-hoc analyses to provide insight into past, current and future expected performance to support business decision making by HCCA Senior Leadership.
Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of professional experience - financial forecasting and modelling, financial/management reporting, communicating to key stakeholders and management of key financial metrics and results
  • Financial modeling experience (product pricing and profitability, program or business unit profitability, building financial and business cases)
  • Consumer finance industry experience preferred - auto finance, mortgage, credit card or banking.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to quickly establish credibility with all role levels, both technical and non-technical; Korean language skills are an asset.
  • Core financial accounting and business skills; ability to establish links between operational and financial data.
  • Superior analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills balanced with strong execution skills, exceptional attention to detail and quality.
  • Expert Microsoft Office Suite user: strong Excel proficiency required.
  • Experience with large data sets and DB programming software/languages preferred (SAS, SQL, VBA macros, Python)
  • Experience with cloud computing systems (AWS) preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have the ability to challenge, when appropriate, existing practices and continuously improve processes.
  • Bachelor\'s degree required - BA/BS in Accounting / Finance / Business / Mathematics / Computer Science
