Job Description

We are currently seeking two (2) students to join our Financial Planning & Analysis Team in Saint John, New Brunswick, for the Winter 2024 Co-Op Work Term (January \xe2\x80\x93 April).

Our Finance team has over 200 finance professionals supporting our diverse group of Companies. We have a long-standing Student Work Term Program focused on providing students with hands on experience in a progressive future focused finance team. We are a proud CPA (Chartered Professional Account) Training Program office.

The Financial Planning & Analysis Co-op Student positions are an excellent opportunity to gain exposure in the Finance field with a large and diversified company. The successful candidates will have the opportunity to work closely with the team\xe2\x80\x99s Financial Analysts and
gain hands on experience in a fast-paced group.

What you can expect as the Planning & Analysis Student:

• Provide support in evaluating financial impact of projects
• Provide support with benchmark reporting and analysis
• Participate in review of quarterly packages and analysis
• Assist with preparation of internal and external presentation materials
• Work with tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, CapIQ, and Bloomberg to automate workflows and improve reporting
• Special projects and ad-hoc analysis with focus on financial insights as required

What you can expect as the Systems Analysis Student:

• Use your creativity and critical thinking to solve business problems
• Participate in meetings to gather requirements, design, and develop new financial forecasting models
• Work effectively with teams to determine and implement solutions to problems
• Assist with other analytics projects as required including evaluating financial impact of recommendations

Work Term Student Qualifications:

• University Business/Commerce Degree Student in Good Academic Standing (Please attach University Transcript to your Application)
• Available for the Fall 2023 Co-op Work Term Period
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis on MS Excel
• Team Player with a Can-Do Attitude
• Curious with a Process Improvement Mindset
• Long Term Career interest in Finance and/or Analytics
