Under the direction of the Finance Director, the Financial Officer will perform a variety of functions that support the financial management of the Faculty of Music, including ensuring all business transactions are aligned with the generally accepted accounting principles, the University\xe2\x80\x99s financial and purchasing guidelines and any related research guidelines associated with research grants.
Related activities include: ensuring back-up documentation is provided and centrally retained for audit purposes (including payroll); auditing all expense reimbursement requests; troubleshooting and resolving transaction errors within the University\xe2\x80\x99s financial information system (FIS) and Human Resources Information System (HRIS). You will work independently to resolve discrepancies and noncompliance issues, escalating to the Director when required. The incumbent provides analytical reports to the Director as needed.
