About the role
LM Canada within Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems is seeking a highly qualified Senior Analyst to assist in FP&A responsibilities to support the dynamic and growing LM Canada Segment. The position will provide an excellent opportunity to gain knowledge about all LM Canada programs, gain exposure to key program and Finance & Business Operations (F&BO) senior executives, and actively manage the FP&A responsibilities and reporting for a growing portfolio.
The keys to success in this role will be the ability to maintain a high standard of performance in a fast-paced, demanding environment with rapidly changing priorities and the ability to synthesize detailed data into actionable information for leadership review/decision-making. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have strong analytical, communication, and time management skills, be team oriented, have a strong work ethic and initiative, and be detailed oriented with the ability to multi-task.
Specific Job Responsibilities
Assist with monthly Outlook and yearly Long Range Plan process:
+ Comprehensive and financial management across Orders, Sales, EBIT & Base (target setting, reporting, variance & trend analysis, R&O assessment)
+ Liaise with Business Operations, BD and various portfolio owners to gather inputs, screen for discrepancies, consolidate and load the data to Hyperion
+ Prepare a listing of risks and opportunities by program
+ Provide variance analysis compared to prior Outlook and Plan
+ Ensure monthly outlook ties to the short term cash flow. Assist with monthly accounting duties:
+ Revenue, Cost of Sales/Services (COS), Work In Progress (WIP) and unbilled Accounts Receivable (AR) monitoring and entries
+ Assist programs with Contract Review Worksheets and ensure the proper revenue recognition methodology is used
+ Account reconciliations and monitoring of various balances
+ Reclassifications for financial close
+ Monthly accruals, miscellaneous entries and preparation recurring entries
+ General Services allocations
+ Under/over recovery of cost centre overheads. Assist with monthly reporting:
+ Reporting of orders, sales, profit, cash and backlog by program and loading data into Hyperion
+ Labour and material base by program
+ Balance sheet reviews and variance analysis. Assist with the budget development, administration, monitoring and reporting processes
Assist with the yearly rate negotiations with Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC), preparation of various files and gather data in response to audits
Performing ad-hoc analysis / tasking as necessary to address evolving needs of the LM Canada Senior Leadership Team, and Corporate HQ
What you bring to the role
Basic Qualifications:
Strong communication, interpersonal & presentation skills
Strong problem-solving & critical thinking skills
High Proficiency in SAP, Hyperion, and MS Excel
Organized and capable of managing multiple priorities
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or other business related field (at least 6 yrs of professional experience, or 4 yrs w/ Masters)

Language Requirements in Quebec
Knowledge of the English language is required for this role as the position described in this posting requires the candidate to communicate every day with a virtual team outside Quebec as well as communicate with different members of the organization, clients and suppliers located outside of Canada. For engineering positions, the candidate must also be able to read or modify technical documents from our main clients and write technical documents for these same clients.
