& Summary A career in Deals Valuation, will provide you with the opportunity to help organisations unlock greater value from existing assets and ongoing capital expenditures as well as new acquisitions, investments, and complex corporate arrangements. We focus on a series of services, such as acquisition and disposal valuation advice including deal pricing and negotiation support, strategic value consulting for improvement of corporate and capital management decisions, financial modelling and value analysis. In short, upon being a member of our team, you will support clients to make profound strategic decisions, better conduct business transactions and decisions, appropriately allocate capital investment, and satisfy regulatory requirements with professional skills and in-depth industry knowledge.

As a Financial Instruments Valuations Manager, you\xe2\x80\x99ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Provide independent valuation reports on financial instruments and private debt for a variety of purposes including mergers and acquisitions (M&A), financial reporting, taxation, corporate planning (decision support) and corporate governance
• Develop or review derivatives pricing models, Monte Carlo simulation models and DCF models and solve business problems with analytical tools
• Support our broader team\xe2\x80\x99s engagements helping management and boards arrive at informed decisions by providing credible valuation conclusions
• Establish credibility with existing clients by demonstrating subject matter expertise and knowledge
• Build a network around your peer group internally at PwC and externally
• Manage Valuations teams while coaching and supporting more junior team members in guiding and reviewing their work outputs
• Participate in various internal initiatives (such as digitization, industry specialization, etc.)
• Provide support to team members in valuation technical skills, industry knowledge and soft skills

Experiences and skills you\xe2\x80\x99ll use to solve

• A background in a quantitative or finance discipline (Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Financial Engineering, or other relevant postgraduate degrees)
• A Chartered Financial Analyst designation will be an asset
• Experience in financial derivatives and private debt valuation, supervising diverse teams to create an atmosphere of trust, seeking diverse views to encourage improvement and innovation and coaching staff including providing timely meaningful written and verbal feedback
• Proven ability to manage project workflows and deliver on time
• Experienced at preparing and/or coordinating complex written and verbal materials
• Experiences in common programming languages (e.g. Python/R/Visual Basic/SQL/etc.) is an asset
• A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences and working alongside and/or coaching diverse people and perspectives
