Financial Data Valorization Analyst

Job Description

As a Financial Data Valuation Analyst, you contribute to the utilization and enhancement of data collected through various channels. Your mandate is to bring data to life through extraction, description, analysis, and interpretation, in order to support business decision-making. You develop recommendations, solutions, and action plans aligned with the organization's directions and objectives. You act as a reference and resource person for data utilization among various stakeholders. More specifically, you will be expected to:

Analyze and identify user needs, lead data valuation initiatives, and ensure their operationalization by coordinating cross-functional alignments. Conduct research and perform descriptive and diagnostic data analyses to ensure optimal use and present recommendations aligned with business needs and challenges. Carry out monthly and quarterly calculation and reporting activities. Identify opportunities to optimize work methods and processes, and recommend improvements to data management tools. Coordinate with software vendors, business teams, IT, Governance, and other stakeholders within the Desjardins ecosystem.

What you bring to the table



Bachelor's degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics, accounting, finance or a related field A minimum of four years of relevant experience Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered Knowledge of French is required Proficiency in SQL for database queries Knowledge of the best data mining and usage techniques Knowledge of the banking industry and financial reporting processes and terminology
