Job Description


TV2 Consulting provides planning, deployment, and support services to streaming television customers globally. This is a replacement position and hands-on leadership role reporting directly to the CEO and responsible for all aspects of accounting and finance.

  • Invoicing: Manage the company\xe2\x80\x99s invoicing process to its customers (Invoicing Software: SaasOptics)
  • Accounts Receivable: Prepare bi-weekly AR Aging report and manage the collections process
  • Accounts Payable: Review and verify the accuracy of General Ledger accounts and accounting classifications assigned to vendor invoices, and match the invoices with Purchase Orders.
  • Payroll: Prepare and process payroll for employees in Canada and USA (Payroll Software: TRAXPayroll for US employees and SimplePay for Canadian employees)
  • Cash Management: Manage the company\xe2\x80\x99s bank activities and make sure all bank accounts have sufficient fund balances.
  • Investment Planning: Research and recommend investments by reviewing the balance sheet and expense forecasts.
  • Equity Management: Ensure the proper recording of all partners\' withdraws and Pass-Through Entity (PTE) elective tax payments.
  • Financial Record Keeping: Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures; maintain month end account reconciliations.
  • Financial Reporting: Manage the month end close process; provide monthly Balance Sheet, P&L and Cash flow reports in accordance with GAAP.
  • Journal Entries: Establish and maintain a journal entry system that provides proper supporting information for all Journal Entries made to the accounting records.
  • Budgeting and Planning: Working directly with the CEO to prepare budgets and forecast reports and monitor the company\xe2\x80\x99s actual performance against the current budget and business plan.
  • Tax Filings: Ensure timely filing and payment of all regulatory reporting including local, state, federal payroll and sales and use taxation.
  • Year End: Prepare and/or review all year-end financial statements and payroll and vendor forms for employees and contractors in the US and Canada.
  • Team Management: Supervise and mentor a small finance and accounting team in the accurate and timely completion of all of the above activities.

Requirements
  • Bachelor\'s Degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • 12+ years of accounting/finance experience, including recent hands-on experience with all areas listed in job description (invoicing, AR/AP, payroll, cash management, investment planning, equity management, financial record keeping & reporting, journal entries, budgeting/planning, taxes, and year end).
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills (in English).
  • Knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
  • Proficient with MS Office and QuickBooks Online.
  • Interest and ability to quickly learn new software/systems and willing to learn and work within existing systems and processes.
  • Experience with SaaS Optics highly desired.
  • Ability to work from home in an environment conducive to professional work with reliable internet connectivity.
  • Knowledge of Canadian payroll and taxes is a plus.
