Position Summary

: We are seeking a detail-oriented Controller to join our dynamic team. The Controller will play a critical role in managing the financial operations of the company, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic financial planning.

Key Responsibilities, include but are not limited to:

Financial Management:

Owning the general ledger.

Ensure accurate and timely preparation of the monthy financial statements

Manage cash flow and prepare weekly cash flow forecasts

Complete monthly CRA filings for HST & Payroll.

Cost Control and Efficiency:

Monitor project costs and time by completing a weekly analysis of budget vs. actual.

Conduct variance analysis and provide recommendations for cost-saving initiatives.

Develop and maintain financial models to support decision-making processes.

Strategic Planning:

Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's goals.

Participate in long-term financial planning and capital investment projects.

Compliance

:

Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.

Other

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

:

Chartered Professional Accountant with 4-7 years of experience in accounting.

Experience in the shipbuilding or manufacturing industry is highly desirable.

Experience with Maestro accounting system is desirable but not required.

High attention to detail and organizational skills.
