About the Role



We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive

Financial Bookkeeper

to join our team. This role involves financial reporting, bookkeeping, and operational support across multiple related operating and holding companies. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a keen eye for accuracy, and the ability to adapt to shifting priorities.

Key Responsibilities



Prepare

monthly financial reports

for multiple entities. Complete

weekly bank reconciliations

and ensure accuracy. Manage

year-end bookkeeping

within 45 working days of fiscal year-end. File all

statutory reporting

, including monthly HST filings, to avoid penalties. Cross-train on tax processes and handle

CRA communications

. Assist with

phone coverage

and monitor daily emails for timely filing. Enter product receipts and reconcile purchase orders. Generate

accurate customer invoices

and reconcile supplier bills/statements. Maintain

cash projection worksheets

and process supplier payments. Apply customer payments and collaborate with suppliers and internal teams. Monitor costs and pricing for accuracy and efficiency.

Additional Responsibilities



Participate in required training sessions. Support colleagues by responding to emails and calls when needed. Perform other duties as required to meet operational needs. Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and legislative requirements. Ad Hoc projects as assigned

Qualifications



2+ years

of experience in financial accounting and bookkeeping. Accounting certificate or higher education in accounting is an asset. Strong proficiency in

Microsoft Excel

and other Office applications. Working knowledge of accounting systems such as

Intact

and

QuickBooks

. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and deadlines

Pay: $60,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
