As we continue to expand rapidly, we are seeking a

Financial Analyst

to provide analytical, budgeting, and reporting support to our growing operations. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented finance professional with experience in multi-entity, multi-department environments, preferably within the transportation or service industry.

Position Summary:


The Financial Analyst will support the ongoing financial operations of the organization through analysis, reporting, and process improvement initiatives. This position will play a key role in month-end close activities, budget tracking, variance reporting, and preparing financial statements for review by senior leadership. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:



Financial Analysis & Reporting



Conduct detailed financial analyses related to operational performance, cost efficiency, and profitability. Support month-end close by preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses. Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Provide accurate and timely budget tracking, cost analysis, and variance reporting.

Budgeting & Forecasting



Assist with developing budgets, forecasts, and annual audit documentation. Monitor performance against budget and provide recommendations for corrective action when necessary. Collaborate with management to define KPIs and track performance against financial objectives.

Compliance & Process Improvement



Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies. Assist with contract and invoice management to maintain financial accuracy. Identify and recommend opportunities for improved financial efficiency and reporting processes.

Cross-Functional Collaboration



Work closely with operational and administrative teams to gather data and insights. Provide financial guidance to support decision-making and strategic planning. Participate in special projects and ad hoc analysis requests from senior management.

Qualifications:



Relevant post-secondary degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. Minimum 2 years' post-graduate experience in a similar financial capacity. Enrollment in the CPA program is preferred. Experience with general ledger functions and month-end close processes. Hands-on experience with ERP accounting systems in a multi-company, multi-department, multi-currency environment. Transportation industry experience is an asset. Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills (required); experience with Business Intelligence tools is an asset. Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Flexible, well-organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proven collaboration skills and a proactive, solution-focused mindset.

Compensation & Benefits:
