THE ROLE
Reporting to the Director of Corporate Services, the Financial Analyst is detail oriented and skilled at managing competing priorities. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks including financial data analysis, performance monitoring, forecasting, as well as preparing reports for internal and external audiences. You will work with all business partners to compile and analyze accurate information to support their decision-making process.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Preparation of regular financial reports, including variance analysis to inform management decision making.
Work with, review, and analyze budgets and year-end financial statements
Assists with annual budget preparation
Monthly review and adjustments to the General Ledger
Review of monthly bank reconciliation and bi-weekly review of payroll submission
Assists in developing, implementing, and maintaining financial policies and procedures to ensure necessary internal controls exist.
Monitor financial processes and identify areas for improvement.
Assess the fiscal Impact of budget changes
Assist with procurement reviews, contract monitoring and facilities issues.

QUALIFICATIONS
Post-secondary education in Finance or Accounting
Minimum three (3) years financial experience; 2 years in not-for-profit healthcare preferred
Experience meeting financial reporting requirements to diverse funders.
High level proficiency in MS applications including excel and power point as well as accounting software (Great Plains preferred).
Familiarity with audit preparation and compliance processes
