Position Summary



The Analyst, Finance (FA) will join the Metergy finance team in Markham, Ontario. (Warden and Enteprise)

The FA role is a highly versatile position that provides the foundation, guidance and exposure towards a challenging and dynamic career. The FA will be responsible for various accounting functions including financial reporting, accounting transactions, reconciliations, documentation, process improvement etc. This position will interact regularly with individuals in finance, operations, external & internal audit.

This is a Hybrid role with an expectation of 3 day in office

Responsibilities



Support month end closing process including the preparation of monthly journal entries under tight month-end deadlines; Ability to work comfortably and analyze large data sets; Analyze assigned financial accounts on a monthly basis and prepare corresponding account reconciliations; Identify process improvements for existing month-end close process & reconciliations, execute and deliver the same. Compile, analyze and report on key business operating metrics/drivers, including ability to link operating and financial trends and variances; Assist in develop, implement, operate and monitor financial controls; Assist in preparation of various analyses, reports, and/or decks for senior management to support their business decision making; Involvement with preparation of forecasting and business planning process; Ad-hoc analyses and presentations on financial and operational results, as well as supporting any special projects;

Requirements



Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance; Professional accounting designation or working towards a designation (CPA); Minimum on to three (1-3) years of work experience in an accounting or finanace function, with a track record of high performance; Highly proficient in Excel, including ability to use advanced functions; Highly proficient in PowerPoint; Strong attention to detail, a must, with ability to deliver management ready materials; Demonstrated leadership ability and is a team player; Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and mentality; Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written; Self-motivated and pro-active, with respect to both managing workload and professional development; Entrepreneurial focused, with a desire to learn and grow professionally and personally
