Job Description

Robert Half is looking for a skilled Financial Analyst. If you\'re looking for a position where you will be a key business partner in forecasting, performance reporting, and expense management, you may be a good candidate for this Financial Analyst position. Your duties would include conducting financial modeling on various financial products, as well as measuring, analyzing and forecasting performance in conjunction with operating plans, you\'re a good fit for this position. This position\'s duties will also include advising management on the allocation of resources to best accomplish objectives and preparing reports for management. This Financial Analyst role is a long-term contract / temporary employment opportunity and is located in the Toronto, Ontario, area.

Major responsibilities

- Flexible candidate that can organize a vast amount of information while managing high expectations

- Keep up weekly, quarterly and annual Area/Segment-level Bookings and P& L forecasting

- Enable effective Business Intelligence (BI) to provide decision making support

- Oversee the monthly and quarterly financial close process by working with Accounting

- Power monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and actions required

- Function next to senior executives on strategic deep dives by developing financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, event tracking and execution, strategic resource allocation, and prioritization

- Execute and monitor forecasting reports

- Inspect performance to date and assess potential risks and opportunities

- Understand and communicate internal and external drivers impacting performance and trending

- Support contacts in Accounting and Operations to execute business plans

- Analyze annual performance by comparing actual results to their expectations and supply information to business partners to inform decision making
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

- Proficiency with Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools required

- Spreadsheet and ERP system experience preferred

- Demonstrated ability to build and deliver effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds

- BA/BS degree in finance or a related field

- Firm understanding of problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)

- Financial planning & analysis (go-to-market experience ideal)

- Customer invoices experience

- Practical knowledge of Processes Expense Reports

- Practical knowledge of Expense Account

- Prior experience with Expense Reduction

- Proven knowledge of LEED Accounts Payable

- Well-founded grasp of Process Expense

- Accounts Payable (AP) experience highly desired

- Experience with Prepaid Expense

- Strong familiarity with Coding Invoices

- Previous experience working with Expense Control

- Hands-on experience with Expense Reconciliation

- Earlier work involving Expense Analysis

- Proven knowledge of Prepare Expense Reports

- General familiarity with Accrued Expenses

- Foundational knowledge in Monthly Expense

- General familiarity with Process Expense Reports

- Well-founded grasp of Complete Expense Reports

- Solid understanding of Expense Reimbursements

- Deep understanding of Expense Vouchers

- Solid understanding of Expense Reporting

- Comprehension of Expense Projections

- Comprehensive knowledge of Approved Invoices

- Good understanding of Expense Budget

- Wide ranging experience with Expense Allocation

- Quality experience with Expense Accruals

- Skills in expense management

- Expertise in expense reports

- Knowledge of Code Invoices

- Experience with Expense Recognition

- Ability to recognize, evaluate, and resolve problems effectively
