Why is this role so great?
This role manages North American Sale tax process and certain aspects of Teknion's financial accounting process.
What are the role responsibilities?
- Manage tax software upgrades, implementation and testing
- Review and manage sales tax filings for North America
- Collect and manage exemption certificates
- Manage sales tax audits
- Reconcile GL tax account
- Process monthly journal entries
- Process transactions in the GL as part of the monthly close cycle
- Analyze GL account for accuracy
- Complete ad hoc reports
- ad hoc analysis explaining expense variances
- Year end audit reviews
- File all Government stats reporting
- Post Secondary Education specializing in Finance or General Business
- Excellent Excel skills
- General understanding of North American Sales and Use tax
- Detailed oriented and the ability to work independently
