THE OPPORTUNITY This is an exciting opportunity to join our team. We are currently looking for a Financial Analyst. The successful candidate will be responsible for reporting and analyzing our plant operations within our Corrugated Ontario division. Supporting Retail, Bag, and Supply Chain. This position will report directly to the Divisional Controller. Location: GTA area Responsibilities include:

  • Month-end accounting, preparation of journal entries & financial reporting
  • Preparation of the monthly Corrugated P&L notes
  • Variance analysis; preparation of cost bridges
  • Headcount and capacity analysis
  • Compile, analyze, and distribute financial and operational KPI\xe2\x80\x99s
  • Freight & delivery analysis, trend analysis, and cost-saving opportunities
  • Quarterly inventory count; ensure inventory guidelines are followed
  • Annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting
  • Review and check Expense claims according to policy
  • Interim and Year-End Audit requests.

Position Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of accounting and financial experience, preferably with a manufacturing background
  • Professional designation not required
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to work independently and use sound judgement
  • Capable of adapting to change
  • Deadline-focused with proven ability to meet prioritize in order to meet all deadlines
  • Detailed oriented with an ability to analyze numbers and data in terms of their impact on the business and plant operations
  • Shows initiative with the ability to multi-task with good organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and can build solid working relationships with all stakeholders
  • Proficient in MS Office with advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Proficient in manufacturing ERP system
