Job Description

Reporting to the Manager of Financial Reporting, the role focuses on preparing team and event Profit and Loss statements within strict timelines, being the point person supporting our major project agreements, assisting with monthly and quarterly financial reporting package including variance analysis and working with other departments within the organization to prepare budgets and forecasts. In addition, you will help shape and support our business intelligence platform by maintaining the accuracy of our dashboards and assisting with upgrades and enhancements.


This is a full-time, permanent replacement position offering flexibility to work either fully on-site or in a hybrid arrangement.

What you'll do:



Assist with monthly and quarterly financial reporting package including variance analysis, commentary and dashboards. Assist in the preparation of the annual operating budgets and subsequent forecasts for all entities. Prepare and analyze team and event Profit and Loss statements including commentary to budget within strict reporting deadlines. Work with our property manager and property management company to provide agreement interpretation support, monitoring compliance against project agreements and resolving financial impact issues. Ensure event settlements are in accordance with event license agreement. Manage utility expenses and utility recoveries from site partners, monitoring compliance against agreements and resolving financial impact issues. Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities. Assist with the design and upkeep of our business intelligence platform. Stay up to date with changes in financial regulations and legislation. Other duties as required.

What's needed:



Completion of post-secondary degree or diploma in Finance, or Accounting. 3-5 years of accounting experience preferably with experience in Private Enterprise. Working towards a recognized professional designation (CFA or CPA). Experience reviewing complex contracts and agreements. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Highly technical with strong attention to detail and can offer process improvements and innovative solutions. Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook. Recent experience using Business Intelligence software would be considered an asset. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively. Highly organized with outstanding administrative and time management skills. Customer service mindset and approach to work. Bilingualism in English and French is an asset.
