ESFM is the corporate Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) division of Compass Group Canada operating in the business & industry sector. Along with providing IFM services to the Canadian Headquarters of several multi-national businesses, ESFM\xe2\x80\x99s list of clients include household names in the Telecommunications, Entertainment, Pharmaceutical, Gas & Oil, Food Processing and Automotive markets.

Job Summary

Now, if you were to come on board as a Financial Analyst, Operations we\xe2\x80\x99d ask you to do the following for us:

Work closely with accounting team to provide all necessary information for monthly and adhoc reporting:

Manage and consolidate monthly forecasts and comments from sectors

Review and follow up on any outstanding variances

Work with sector leads to gather all necessary information for annual budget reporting

Compile financial data and complete presentations for Executive team

Develop and maintain effective business relationships cross functionally with business partners, clients and associates

Act as a primary support for Operation Administrators and Unit Controllers

Assist in all new account opening and visit units as required

Handle queries from Operations and Management

Process vendor invoices weekly and follow up on A/R invoices and follow the agreed financial calendar

Analyze operating statements * Confirm paperwork is prepared accurately and timely in accordance with operations manual, client, and corporate requests

• Compile weekly reports, variance reports, and forecasts. Advise Senior Management Team and Operations Team regarding weekly labour, finance, inventory and forecast of the project
• Continually review services with the object of reducing costs, increasing profitability and efficiency, without loss of standard
• All other duties as assigned

• Degree in Finance and Accounting field required; currently working towards designation preferred
• Experience in the hospitality industry is an asset
• Strong attention to detail as well as critical thinking and analytical skills
• 5+ years of relevant work experience in FP&A field is preferred
• Familiar with JDE and Insight reports
• Proficient in Excel and intermediate level functionalities (V-lookups, pivot tables etc.)
• Solid written and verbal communication skills, analytically inclined and team player
• Strong business acumen & professionalism
• Ability to set priorities, manage multiple tasks and meet frequent deadlines
• Positive attitude with the willingness to accept flexibility in assignments and the desire to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to excel
